Darkseid vs Thanos

Darkseid vs Thanos, and Galacticus on the back / moviepilot.com

Since their introduction there’s been villains that have manipulated the universe and all of its living species in a wrong way. These characters are known as the fathers of evil always leading other minor villains to the imminent destruction of planet earth and its people. This powerful and vile beings whose actions seem invisible to track by the heroes are known as Thanos in the Marvel Universe and Darseid in the DC Comics. Even though this two seem similar, each one has different powers and weaknesses. So before we can make a decision about who might be nastiest of this guys let’s analyze them and then you may choose who’s the biggest, baddest titan of the galaxy.

Our first opponent is: Thanos.
On Saturn's moon of Titan lived a colony of Eternals, and Thanos was born as one of the last sons of the original colonists. However, he was born misshapen and monstrous in comparison to the other Eternals, particularly his handsome and carefree brother, Starfox, (what a shame, poor guy) Thanos grew into a melancholy, brooding individual, consumed with the concept of death. More than any of his people, Thanos sought out personal power and increased strength, endowing himself with cybernetic implants until he became more powerful than any of his brethren. With an army under his command, he nearly destroyed his former home of Titan, declaring himself its ruler. He then sought out the powerful cosmic cube, and a number of Earth's heroes assembled to confront him. With the Cube's power, Thanos made himself unto a god, and he easily fought back Captain Marvel and the Avengers. However, Captain Marvel managed to convince Thanos that he had drained the Cube of its power, and the mad Titan discarded it. This allowed Mar-Vell to grab the Cube and restore the universe to its rightful order and drain Thanos of his power. Thanos was shunted back to where he had first launched his bid for power, and was rescued by his starship, Sanctuary II.

This are just a few things that you can find on this villain’s résumé. You can clearly see that Thanos is a powerful adversary, with cosmic powers, thanks to this and his intelligence, he become a menace to the whole universe! Can you believe it? Him alone, just because his race thought he was ugly. Oh and did I mention he worshiped death?

Next is Darkseid from the DC Comics Universe.
When his brother, Drax, attempted to claim the fabled Omega Force, Uxas murdered him and took the power for himself; transforming him into a rock-like creature, and taking a new name: Darkseid (I think this is normal, brothers always fight, right?) At some point, he fell in love with an Apokoliptian scientist named Suli, however, Suli was poisoned by Desaad mother of Darkseid), who believed that Suli was corrupting her son. Following Suli's death, Darkseid's heart grew even colder (the death of his beloved change him, so sweet), and he had Desaad poison Heggra, finally becoming the supreme monarca of Apokolips (muahaha) Darkseid had briefly been forced by his mother to marry Tigra (an arranged marriage?). After murdering his mother, Darkseid banished from Apokolips.

Darkseid's goal was to eliminare all free willfrom the universe and reshape it into his own image. To this end, he sought to unravel the misterios Anti-life equation, which gives its user complete control over the thoughts and emotions of all living beings in the universe. Darkseid had tried on several other occasions to achieve dominance of the universe through other methods, most notably through his minino Gloriouswho could control people's minds with his voice. He had a special interest in Earth, as he believed humans possess collectively within their minds most, if not all, fragments of the Anti-Life Equation. Darkseid intended to probe the minds of every human in order to piece together the Equation (he is a clever guy). This caused him to clash with many superheroes of the DC Universe, notably, the Kryptonian known as Superman Darkseid worked behind-the-scenes, using superpowered minions in his schemes to overthrow Earth, including working through, intergand, a crime syndicate which employs Apokoliptian technology and later morphed into a religious cult that worships Darkseid as the god of Evil.

Darkseid’s qualities include mental powers (awesome), he can manipulate the energy. This includes the manipulation of something called “Omega Rays” this consists on the ability to teleport anything into anyplace or size he wants and disintegrate it, also he is a genius.

In my humble opinion, hypothetically speaking of course if this two powerful villains went against each other, I think the winner could be Darkseid, after analyzing their powers, he could disintegrate Thanos in seconds. Of course Thanos is an almighty type of guy and he could be a pain in the little finger to Darkseid if he wanted to, but they could probably fight for hours, years, decades, and wouldn’t have a winner. To end this let’s just highlight the obvious: Thanos has cosmic powers (if he possess the infinity gauntlet) while Darkseid controls minds and can shoot omega rays, ¿seriously, who could win against someone that can teleport stuff and control energy to his will?

Well guys, this is just my point of view, let us know what’s yours. I hope you enjoyed reading this, remember every villain is awesome and every power is unique.
